Carat-Weight

Did you know that two diamonds of equal size aren't always the same value?

It's our expert knowledge that guarantees we choose only the best quality diamonds available. Infinity Diamonds are weighed in Carats. A carat is equivalent to .2 of a gram which is then divided into 100 points. So first we weigh the diamond with the most minute of weight measurements.

Then we look at its size and it is noted for you on the GIA Certificate. Popular sizes in the diamond world range from 1 point to 500 points.

The Infinity Diamonds bench mark: 50 points or larger.

Colour

Out of the 23 colours of diamond available to the world Infinity Diamonds covers the top 5 colours only, starting at H = White. Basically, less is more! The less colour in your Infinity Diamond the better the grade

The gradings are set to the International Colour Grading Scale where diamonds are compared to a unique set of master stones at the Gemological Laboratory of America (GIA).

The Infinity Diamond bench mark: "H" or better.

Clarity

Clarity or purity of a diamond is about its internal and external characteristics. The more imperfections that can be seen, the less level of clarity the diamond has. Internal impurities are important for the clarity grade. External surface characteristics only have an impact if the internal is flawless or the characteristics are very noticeable.

To alleviate a lot of concern, Infinity Diamonds refuses to consider anything less than SI1 Clarity which is 5 steps above the lowest clarity grade available.

Cut

Looking into the depths of a high quality diamond is like gazing into an infinite well of beauty.

Some see themselves. Some see their soul mate. We see perfection in the cut. The more brilliance you see in the heart of the diamond the more chance that it is an infinity diamond, specially chosen for the precision cuts of the stone and fine work of the diamond cutter. Infinity Diamonds are specifically chosen to release the maximum light and for maximum scintillation performance. This is bench marked by selecting a minimum of VG cut grade on the GIA report.

The Infinity Diamonds bench mark: "Very Good" or better.

Certification

Perhaps the most important C out of all the Cs is the certification, as this report alone can effect a diamond's value by up to 50%! GIA is without a doubt the world's leading and most trusted Gemological Laboratory.

It makes sense that all of the most important rare coloured diamonds in the world are only ever considered for purchasing by consumers when accompanied only by GIA documentation so why would you consider anything less for your white diamonds. For example the perhaps most famous ever blue diamond of all, "The Hope" is certified by GIA.

When you receive a diamond graded by GIA you know you can trust the given quality grading which in turn assures the consumer of REAL VALUE.
